Dr Camilo Guerra successfully completed his medical degree in 1997 from The University of Queensland after leaving his home country of El Salvador in 1989. He completed his residency at the Mater Public Hospital where he developed an interest in family medicine. Dr Camilo started his GP training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He gained his fellowship in 2003 when he began working in Albany Creek.

After a few academical roles Dr Camilo decided to exclusively devote his medical career to the community he lives and works in. His driving force is his family where he has learnt some of the most challenging and valuable lessons in medicine. This has given him an important insight and perspective of the clinical aspects of illnesses, which he has found invaluable in understanding patients experiences within their social context.
