Practice Information

We welcome new patients. Please call our reception team will help you to find an appointment time that works for you.

We encourage all patients to be responsible for their own test results so if the doctor ordered some tests, you should please call us to make an appointment to review them with the doctor and discuss the next steps in your plan.

To ensure safe and accurate interpretation of test results, it is our policy that all patients should return to discuss them with the doctor in person. The doctor will explain them to you, answer any questions you may have and print them for you if you wish. Even normal results can require some discussion to ensure advice has been given and safe follow up is in place.

Please note that reception staff are not legally allowed to deliver test results over the phone as they are not medically qualified.

Our reminder system is to tell you about recurring healthcare issues such as annual check-ups, care planning and immunisations. Please advise reception if you want to opt out of reminders. You may also be asked back for a follow up appointment, if your GP advises.

It is often difficult for doctors to take calls as they are generally in the middle of a consultation with a patient. For safety and legal reasons, it is not recommended for them to give advice over the phone, and you should therefore make an appointment to discuss medical issues with the doctor in the clinic.

If your call is urgent, please explain the nature of the urgency to the receptionist to ensure it is dealt with appropriately.

Emails – emails are not an approved safe method of discussion when it comes to providing medical care. Please do not communicate with your doctor about medical matters via email as your message may potentially not be seen.
